Amy is a disability rights advocate campaigning to change the way society understands disability.

Amy Oulton is a Tedx speaker passionate about sparking a new understanding of disability and prompting conversations around accessibility. She advocates for an inclusive future where we can all recognise and celebrate the intrinsic value of individuality and diversity, and where everyone is empowered to thrive. Amy weaves her personal history and captivating storytelling together to help make her messages relatable to those who may never have contemplated the subject before. Her approach, characterised by humour and approachability, sheds light on the barriers faced by disabled people and shows how our attitudes and perceptions are often a large part of that picture.

In this conference, Amy addresses societal perceptions of disability, neurodivergence and chronic illness and encourages people to see things from different perspectives by making her messages relatable. Her presentations plant the seeds of lasting reflection and attendees are equipped with the foundational and contextual knowledge they need to start having these important conversations towards shaping a more accessible world with confidence.

Following her presentation, Amy provides a Q&A session that allows a safe and open space to seek clarification and engage in meaningful discussion. It may also be possible to incorporate specific subject requests or conference aims within the talk.
